This policy explains what personal data karamnasa.com collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Karamnasa Labs decides how this data is used, and is responsible for it.
What we collect
When you contact us
If you write to us or send an enquiry, we receive what you give us: your name, business name, work email, phone number, the product you are interested in, the size of your operation, your message, and whether you agreed to this policy, with the time you agreed.
Where your visit came from
On your first visit, the site stores one first-party cookie, kn_attr, in your browser for 90 days. It holds the campaign tags in the link you followed (such as utm_source), the website that referred you, the first page you opened and when. It is sent to us only if you submit an enquiry, so we can tell which channels bring enquiries. It is not shared with anyone else.
Keeping out spam
With each enquiry we store a shortened, one-way hashed form of your IP address and a hash of your browser’s user agent, used only to detect abuse. The enquiry form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks technical signals from your browser to confirm a person is using it. Cloudflare handles that data under its own privacy policy.
Site statistics
We count page views and a few named actions, such as opening the pricing page, with Umami, which we run ourselves. Umami sets no cookies and does not store your IP address. We see totals, not individuals.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a walkthrough
- To send you a copy of what you submitted
- To keep spam and abuse out of the enquiry form
- To understand which channels bring enquiries
We do not sell your data, add you to a mailing list, or use it for advertising.
Consent
When you send an enquiry, you consent to us using your details for the purposes above. You can withdraw that consent at any time by writing to [email protected]. We will then stop using your data and erase it, unless a law requires us to keep it.
Who processes it for us
- Cloudflare delivers this website and runs Turnstile. It serves the site from locations around the world. It also stores our encrypted backups, which it cannot read.
- GoDaddy provides our email.
- Enquiry records and site statistics are stored on servers we operate in India.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don’t lead to a customer relationship: 24 months from our last contact, then deleted.
- Customers: for as long as the relationship lasts, and afterwards for as long as the law requires.
- Site statistics: kept only as totals, which contain no personal data.
- Backups are encrypted and roll over, so deleted data leaves them within 90 days.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it
- correct, complete or update it
- erase it
- resolve a grievance about how we have handled it
- record someone you nominate to exercise these rights if you die or cannot act yourself
Write to [email protected]. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
