The record follows the animal round the loop, so the owner’s milk, the feed it cost and the calf it produced all land on the same account.
The calf is registered and tagged to the same owner on the day it is born.
Litres recorded for each animal at every milking, shed by shed.
Milk value less feed and insurance, split by the contract and sent to the owner as a statement.
The next pregnancy starts on the record, by insemination or an embryo programme, with dates.
The animal changes category as it goes. Feed cost keeps accruing and insurance renewals come due.
The cost of buying an animal is set once as a template: the animal, a security deposit, first-year insurance and transport. Every sale uses it, so every owner sees the same breakdown.
